THE BRAND
Sklar bikes is a custom, built to order, bike frame company based out of Bozeman, Montana. Sklar bikes went from a small hobby to a well-known frame builder with lengthy waitlists in just a few short years. These bikes are designed for adventure and known for their iconic top tube arch.
THE PROJECT
Adam reached out to me to design some custom branded socks, that he could offer on his website as well as, display them at race events and bike expos. The socks were created to be used out on long adventures, while also be something you could wear to work.
THE INSPIRATION
Sklar bikes are known for a few things. The arched top tube, bold colors, and fade paint jobs. While I pulled together some inspiration, I wanted to embrace and celebrate these characteristics. Here is where some of the initial design inspiration came from.

THE FINAL DESIGN
The final design we landed on is a variation of the traditional tube sock design. The tubes are also curved to mimic Sklar bike’s curved top tube.
